Powerplay - Whitsunday Sailing Experience Itinerary

Powerplay departs from Abell Point North Marina at approximately 12.30pm, you will be met underneath the white umbrellas by your host who will show you to the boat, introduce you to your skipper and give you a safety briefing while you enjoy some hot & cold nibbles.

Once that is completed, you will start your cruise towards your first overnight anchorage. Grab a nice cold drink, sit back & relax or keep an eye out for dolphins and Whales (June-September) once you arrive you can watch the sun setting over the beautiful ocean & islands and enjoy the company of your fellow passengers while your host gets to work preparing and cooking dinner.

After you’ve filled your bellies you can crack another drink, star-gaze, get to know your fellow passengers or even teach everyone that new card game you just learned!

The day starts early on Powerplay, your crew will wake you up gently at around 7am to scoff some breakfast while you make your way to Tongue Bay for your hill Inlet bushwalk.

This is a beautiful, easy hike through the gorgeous Whitsunday Island brush, keep an eye out for Goanna’s, colourful spiders, birds and indigenous flora unique to the Whitsunday area. Once at the top, you’ll want to take all the selfies your phones, cameras and GoPro’s can handle for all those insta, snapchat & facebook profile pictures.

You’ll head back down to hang out on the famous Whitehaven Beach where you can explore the mangroves for lemon sharks, stingrays, or if you are super lucky spot some soldier crabs, top-up that sweet tan on the pure white silica sands or splash around in the bright blue waters.

Next on the agenda is some well deserved lunch before setting off for your first snorkel location.

Once you’ve received your detailed snorkel briefing, grab a wetsuit and jump into the wonderful underwater world traversing beautiful soft and hard coral, chase some weird and wonderful fish and keep your eyes peeled for turtles!

Night time is for star-gazing, playing card games, learning about the history of the Whitsundays and indulging in some delicious, freshly cooked dinner. Sit in the heated spa with a cold drink in hand and watch the milky-way.

After you’ve enjoyed some breakfast and a nice cup of tea watching the sunrise over the Islands, say goodbye to the Whitsundays in style with a final snorkel, have a go at paddle boarding or test your rowing skills in a kayak for one! (or two) You will then head back to the mainland where you can disembark, wash the sand out of your hair and get ready to meet your crew at Boaty’s for an after-party dinner & drinks.

Our passengers get to enjoy a nice little discount thanks to our partnership with boaty’s Airlie Beach.
