Blizzard - Whitsunday Sailing Experience Itinerary
Entice/ On Ice/ Blizzard departs from Abell Point North Marina at approximately 4pm, your host will come to pick you up from your meeting point and take you to your new home for the next 2 days and nights where they will give you a quick orientation and briefing before sailing off into the sunset towards the Whitsunday islands.
Once the sails have been dropped, grab a nice cold drink, watch the sun setting over the beautiful ocean & islands and enjoy some nibbles before arriving at your overnight anchorage where you can star-gaze and get to know your fellow passengers and crew before enjoying some delicious dinner made and prepared fresh on-board by your host.
Wake up to the smell of fresh coffee! Mornings start a little earlier out on the water, get ready to tuck into breakfast at 7am. While you fill you up on a hearty breakfast and prepare for the adventure ahead, your skipper will take you to your first snorkelling location.
All of our snorkel locations are in bays protected from wind and waves so once you’ve heard your detailed snorkel brief, put on your wetsuit and grabbed your mask and snorkel, jump in! Start discovering the beautiful world underwater, navigating colourful corals and strange looking fish or glide effortlessly through the water with the SeaScooter chasing turtles and fish. Our crew will drive you straight to the coral and fish on the tender and stay with you while you float, explore and play. Done with being in the water? Try your hand (or feet) at stand-up paddle boarding, float on top of the water and zen out.
Once you’ve filled your stomachs again, head over to Tongue bay where your bushwalk to the famous Hill Inlet Lookout begins, just a short & easy hike to the top and you get to look out over the most photographed beach in Australia. Check out the gorgeous swirling sands and bright blue water, taking all the selfies your cameras can contain before heading back down to spend some time on Whitehaven beach. Explore the mangroves for lemon sharks look for the elusive soldier crabs, soak up the sunshine on the pure white silica sands or splash around in beautiful azure waters.
The evening will be spent discussing the adventures experienced, learning about the history and marine life from our experienced and knowledgeable crew whilst enjoying some more scrumptious food.
After breakfast we will take you to your final snorkel destination where you can say farewell to the Whitsundays in style, enjoy some morning tea then prepare yourself for a final exciting sail back to Airlie Beach.
